System Consultant

Summary

Centive Compel®, the leading on-demand strategic sales compensation management solution, enables companies to manage sales commissions and drive revenue and performance. It also provides executives, sales managers, and sales representatives with secure, real-time visibility into attainment, ranking and commission earnings data.

Centive is currently seeking talented, high energy Systems Consultants to act as the business liaison between the sales team and prospective customers. The ideal candidate will have a hunger for signing new customers to Centive's subscription-based solution. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with prospects to facilitate the close.
  • Manage and participate in presales calls, providing technical presentations and product demonstrations on site and by Webex.
  • Analyze prospect business requirements translating needs into software solutions.
  • Assist the sales team in developing sales strategies, responding to RFPs and RFIs, and positioning the Compel application in complex customer environments.
  • Maintain a close relationship with product development to contribute to and to keep abreast of new product initiatives and releases.
  • Assist the sales organization to meet and exceed their fiscal year revenue objectives by providing high-quality, technical assistance during all phases of the software product sales cycle.
  • Train and mentor team members on company products, technology, presentation and sales skills.
  • Participate in company sales training, tools training, and ongoing product specialization training.
  • 20% travel required.

Technical Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in the software industry as a presales consultant/engineer.
  • Solid understanding of the SW application lifecycle and supporting database infrastructures, and multi-tier computing using Web technologies.
  • Experience sizing and estimating software product implementations.
  • Strong planning, analysis, and creative problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting at all organizational levels with others and coordinating efforts in a multi-site, international, project-oriented organization.
  • Software as a service experience helpful but not required.Prior experience selling sales, financial or business intelligence applications is a plus.

General Skills

  • Organized self starter with high energy.
  • Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills with the goal of influencing customer decisions to gain and retain company business.
  • High energy and entrepreneurial drive.Able to work efficiently at a high activity level with minimum direct supervision.
  • Proficient in the use of standard business tools including PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, salesforce.com and Webex.
