Business Development Representative (BDR)
Summary
Centive Compel®, the leading on-demand strategic sales compensation management solution, enables companies to manage sales commissions and drive revenue and performance. It also provides executives, sales managers, and sales representatives with secure, real-time visibility into attainment, ranking and commission earnings data.
Centive is currently seeking hard working, high energy Business Development Representatives to effectively communicate Centive’s value proposition, qualify leads generated by marketing programs and cold calling and to initiate the sales process with prospects. The ideal candidate will have a hunger for signing new customers to Centive's subscription-based solution. There is no cap on earnings, pay is performance based. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Qualify business opportunities by proactively initiating outbound calls and probing prospects to ascertain lead status.
- Collect in-depth prospect information that lays the foundation for the sales process.
- Nurtures those leads that are not yet ready to engage in the sales process.
- Pass qualified leads to sales.
- Follow up on all leads in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development of marketing programs to grow business.
- Work closely with Territory Sales Managers to maximize sales coverage and effectiveness within the assigned geographic territory.
- Maintain accurate prospect information by utilizing SFA software provided by Centive.
Technical Skills
- 2 + years making a high volume of outbound sales calls in a technology driven company.
- Experience working with senior level executives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess strong telephone and probing skills.
- Experienced with on-line market research tools.
- Familiarity with one or more SFA software applications.
General Skills
- Organized self starter with high energy.
- Highly confident, and goal oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
