Project Manager
SUMMARY:
This key position is responsible for management of the initial subscriber configuration to a sales performance management solution (Centive Compel). The project manager will be expected to serve as a primary point of customer contact, assist customers with configuration and support questions as they arise, and be responsible for the creation and maintenance of internal services documentation, including but not limited to the Compel Knowledgebase and Compel Services Methodology. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adopt and execute Centive project management methodologies.
- Create and maintain a project plan which incorporates allocation of resources from the client, Centive and 3rd party consulting firms.
- Day-to-day management of project resources, ensuring on-time delivery and/or completion of tasks and milestones.
- Identify and manage project risks, following identified escalation paths.
- Define and manage project time, cost and scope.
- Interface directly with clients, providing guidance and consultation for their initial configuration of Compel.
- Identify and document project requirements and solutions.
- Manage the testing process, ensuring the design follows Centive standards, as well as meets the client's business and technical requirements.
- Act as a resource for Centive Support throughout the life of the client.
- Provide project documentation, including status reports, budget estimates and project schedules to management and executives.
- Manage hand-off of clients from Centive Professional Services to Centive Support.
TECHNICAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Software development exposure, building business applications in a web architecture, a plus.
- Proficiency in standard Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
- Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and project management tools, including Microsoft Project.
GENERAL SKILLS:
- Customer focused.
- Efficient time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Propensity for hard work, and a willingness to perform different roles as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Displays leadership qualities and works well in a team environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science.
- 2 to 3 years of work experience in a project-based environment.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
- General knowledge or experience with sales or HR compensation highly recommended.
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:
- Occasional Travel (<25%)
