iSymmetry's Technological Makeover
Or, how a tech company finally grew up and discovered the World Wide Web.by Elizabeth S. Bennett
In this article Elizabeth Bennett describes in a case-study style how IT recruiting company iSymmetry tackled employee frustration and hurting sales by investing in software-as-a-service applications and revamping its corporate website.
One of the initiatives was to overhaul sales compensation management. According to iSymmetry's CEO Bruce Culbert "the company's system for tallying pay was a nightmare. Every month the controller spent three days calculating commissions ..., taking error-riddled data from dozens of spreadsheets and putting it into a master file."
The company recognized time savings once they automated sales compensation with a SaaS-based solution. Says Culbert, "Commissions are tallied automatically, thanks to an on-demand program run by Centive. Recruiters can view their forecasted commissions online and learn how they are performing compared with others."
