Centive Compel Named 2006 CODiE Awards Finalist for Best Financial Software Solution

Compel Makes Elite Short List for Software and Information Industry's Only Peer Recognition Awards Program

BURLINGTON, MASS., January 24, 2006 - Centive, the leader in on-demand sales compensation management, today announced it has been named a finalist in the Software and Information Industry Association's (SIIA) 21st annual Codie Awards. Centive's flagship on-demand application, CompelTM, was selected by the SIIA and an independent panel of software industry leaders in the "Best Financial Software Solution" category.

The Codie Awards showcase the best-in-class companies, products and services in the software and information industry.  This year, more than 1026 nominations were submitted by more than 500 companies.  Considered one of the most prestigious awards programs, the Codie Awards is the only peer-recognition program of its kind. The award offers a unique opportunity for companies to earn praise and recognition from their competitors and peers.

"We founded the Codie Awards 21 years ago so that the pioneers of the then-nascent software industry could evaluate and honor each other's work," said Ken Wasch, SIIA President.  "The Codies have grown along with the markets it represents, and today competition is fiercer than ever.  That make selection as a Codie finalist a true achievement, and all companies on this year's list should feel justifiably proud of their recognition."

Compel, the industry's first affordable, on-demand sales compensation management solution, goes well beyond simply calculating sales commissions.  It also provides sales managers and reps with real-time visibility into performance attainment, and finance executives with a powerful commission accounting tool for modeling, managing and reporting sales compensation.  Compel gives companies full automation and control over the critical business process of managing commissions, bonuses and SPIFs; areas that have a direct impact on revenue and margins.

"We're delighted that Compel has been recognized as a 2006 Codie Award finalist," said Michael Torto, president and CEO of Centive.  "Before Compel, most companies had to rely on complex Excel spreadsheets to manage sales compensation.  Now, companies leverage Compel as a strategic tool to drive sales performance, meet financial reporting compliance initiatives and eliminate the errors and manual processes of the past.  It's gratifying that our peers acknowledge Compel as among the best in the industry."

The final round of judging will take place in April.  The 2006 Codie Awards will be presented at a gala event on May 16, 2006 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel, San Francisco, CA.
